I really love the idea of doing a monthly moodboard, so here goes my first attempt! I wanted a place to share a few things that are on my mind, whether it’s a goal I’m setting for the month, an inspiring interior, a new wellness trend I want to try out or a vacation I’m dreaming up.
Hotel Joaquin in Laguna Beach
From the creators of Korakia Pensione and Lone Mountain Ranch (also two places I desperately need to visit!), I’m dreaming up a weekend vacation in 2019 at this ocean-side boutique hotel. They have vintage-filled rooms and an activity garage (includes snorkelling gear, bikes, surfboards, games and more), as well as a plant-based restaurant that serves up a fresh Medideratiian-inspired menu with healthy options available all day. They’ll even pack you a picnic to take with you to the beach. Ugh.
Outdoor Voices
I have some exciting news to share! I recently met the founder of OV, Tyler Haney, who by some crazy chance asked me to be an #OVAmbassador. If you know me, you know how much I love this brand so I’m super excited to start sharing OV content and keep you updated on new product launches (like the Outdoor Collection!) and things like when they’ll be shipping to Canada (finally!).
Super You by Moon Juice
I started taking these adaptogens last month and have noticed a number of health improvements, including alleviated PMS symptoms, better sleep and stress regulation. I just placed an order for a refill and can’t recommend these enough!
Dried Fall Florals
I’m obsessed with dried florals right now and have plans to introduce a few arrangements into my bedroom and living room this month. I think this obsession largely stems from my weekly strolls by Hana by Celsia Floral in Gastown when I’m out grabbing a coffee.
The Denmark Chair from Structube
We are in the process of updating our dining nook and I can’t get this chair out of my head (also, not a bad price!). Now I just need to find the perfect table.
Anything Bouclé (also anything from Goop x CB2)
This chair just screams cozy, which is perfect for all the upcoming chilly nights spent curled up on the couch wrapped in a blanket. If I could have everything in my apartment soft and fuzzy, I would.
Camel
As I’ve headed into my late twenties I’ve grown an appreciation for quality pieces and tend to lean towards more classic looks that can stand the test of time. I used to wear a lot of black, but now I’m really starting to embrace a rich camel hue. Pair this colour with a little gold jewelry and you’ll automatically look put-together (even if you just threw on a sweater).
Emerald Nails
My next manicure colour!
Hold On To Your Vision
I’ve been struggling a lot this last year to work on my creative side passion. I truly love creating content and felt like I wasn’t able to communicate and do what I wanted so I’d been avoiding it altogether. I just started reading this book by psychotherapists Barry Michels and Phil Stutz who believe in the power of positive thinking and feel like this is exactly what I needed to get back in gear.
